Martin Keown has said on BT Sport 1 (2:41pm, March 19, 2022) that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are favourites for the Premier League top four ahead of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal despite the Gunners’ win against Aston Villa.
The Arsenal legend believes that Tottenham have a favourable run of fixtures, and thinks that Spurs are in a better position to finish fourth.
Arsenal have got the better of Villa 1-0 away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League today.
The Gunners are now fourth in the Premier League table with 54 points from 28 matches, six points ahead of Tottenham in seventh.
Keown said: “I think Spurs look favourites to actually make it into the top four. Let’s see if they can do it. When I look at the fixtures, when I see games away at Chelsea, Spurs, it’s tough.”
Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur for fourth spot?
In our view, Arsenal are in a better position than Tottenham to finish fourth in the Premier League table this season.
After all, the Gunners have more points than their bitter North London rivals.

Yes, Arsenal have to play against Chelsea and Manchester United, but why shouldn’t they be able to win against them, especially against the Red Devils?
Tottenham have been quite inconsistent under Conte in recent weeks, and that is a major issue.
Spurs have tough games as well.
Tottenham have to play against West Ham United and Liverpool.
And we will also have the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham.
