Rodrigo Becao has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur but he could sign a new Udinese contract – with a fixed price to leave the club.
It’s hard to imagine that Arsenal will be in the market for a centre back come January.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are shining together and that means Ben White – a centre back by trade – is now playing at right back.
Rob Holding is also in the mix and if Arsenal were to go for a central defender, it would make sense to go for a natural left-footer.

Despite that, Arsenal are being linked with another right-footer.
Tutto Udinese report that Arsenal have joined Tottenham and Everton in the race to sign Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao.
It’s suggested that all three clubs would be willing to offer €15million (£13million) to sign Becao in January.
Messaggero Veneto now claim that Becao rejected Udinese’s last offer of a new contract, which came in October.
Becao is out of contract in 2024 and Udinese want to protect themselves against losing him for next to nothing.
They state that it seems likely that Becao will sign a new contract but only if there is an agreed price for him to leave.
Udinese had a similar plan with Gerard Deulofeu but nobody met his asking price and he remains with Udinese.
If Becao doesn’t sign a new deal before January though, the offers from England may well come in.
We still that a move to Arsenal is highly unlikely and the same with Everton really after their summer deals for James Tarkowski and Conor Coady.
Tottenham do have great links to the Italian market through Fabio Paratici and could be in the market for a defender given Davinson Sanchez’s struggles.
Spurs make more sense for Becao but this does smack of an agent driving interest in his client to negotiate a better deal.
