Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with N’Golo Kante but Al-Nassr are viewing him as their next big addition.

That’s according to Foot Mercato in France as they suggest that Al-Nassr want to bring Kante over to Saudi Arabia.

CBS Sports claim that Al-Nassr have booked a medical for Cristiano Ronaldo as they close in on a huge signing.

They’re not done there though and also want Kante to make a money-spinning move – and the midfielder isn’t against the idea.

Kante loves London though and wants to stay in the capital as his Chelsea contract heads towards its final few months.

Foot Mercato noted in October that Arsenal and Tottenham are both emerging as potential destinations for Kante.

Yet with Al-Nassr in the race, Kante’s biggest financial offer could arrive from Saudi Arabia in 2023.

Kante doesn’t really make sense for Arsenal or Tottenham

There is no doubting that Kante has been one of the top midfielders in Europe for many years now.

Two Premier League titles, a Champions League title, a World Cup… Kante has achieved so much since heading to England.

Yet it’s also fair to say that Kante just isn’t the player he once was as age and injuries catch up to him.

Kante, 31, has only played in two Premier League games this season and hasn’t played a minute in any competition since the 14th of August.

It’s starting to feel like Kante’s time at the truly elite level is coming to an end, with Arsenal or Tottenham surely not realistic moves.

Tottenham do have Kante’s former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte in charge but are already stocked in midfield and surely want the next N’Golo Kante rather than the current version.

It’s a similar story at Arsenal, where big deals for experienced players have been scrapped in favour of signings young players.

Kante just doesn’t fit the bill for either and if they don’t come forward with offers to keep him in London, Saudi Arabia may be very appealing.
