Gianluca Scamacca has signed his new Sassuolo contract, his Serie A side have confirmed, but the fresh terms will not impact Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in a transfer.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who report the Italy forward may still leave the Mapei Stadium this summer. Scamacca has extended his commitment to the Neroverdi until June 2026. But it is regarded as a step from Sassuolo to strengthen their position in the market.

Scamacca is one of the Emilia-Romagna side’s most prized assets and has a raft of clubs keen on his services. Inter Milan are on pole position for a deal, but may face competition from AC Milan. The San Siro rivals are tipped for a special derby in the off-season market.

Sassuolo chairman Giovanni Carnevali recently confirmed Inter’s interest to Gazzetta dello Sport. He also claimed Premier League clubs are keen, with Gazzetta dello Sport previously citing Tottenham as a potential suitor for Scamacca and that AC Milan offered €30m (£25m).
The Rossoneri’s bid fell flat as FC Inter News add – while noting approaches from Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle – Sassuolo want €40m (£33m) for Scamacca’s transfer. A sum too rich for Inter, who have agreed a €2m-a-year (£32k-a/w) plus bonuses contract.
New Scamacca contract will not stop Arsenal, Tottenham target leaving Sassuolo
Sassuolo locking Scamacca down to 2026 will now strengthen their resolve to bids from AC Milan, Inter, Arsenal or Tottenham below their valuation in the upcoming transfer market.

It will not, however, stop the Neroverdi selling the three-cap Azzurri star, who has scored 13 goals this season. Each of the 23-year-old’s efforts to date have come in 30 Serie A games. He has also provided an assist during their 2-1 Coppa Italia defeat away to Juventus.
The 6 ft 5 marksman’s league goals also include scoring against the current top-three of AC Milan, Napoli and Inter. The Scudetto chasers are currently only separated by two points.
