Arsenal defender Rob Holding has named Norwegian international Martin Odegaard as one of the most skilful players at the club.
Starring in a Q&A on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel, the English centre-back was asked which player at the club is the most skilful, with Holding naming his midfield teammate Odegaard as one of the best for the north London club.
The 23-year-old playmaker has been a key part of Arsenal’s first team this season, with Odegaard scoring four goals and bagging four assists in all competitions and playing a focal role in Mikel Arteta’s system.
The midfielder originally joined the Gunners on loan last season, with Arsenal pulling off a permanent signing in the summer from Real Madrid in a transfer that has proven its weight in goal for the Gunners, with Odegaard thriving in north London.
Indeed, the youngster has been tipped as a potential Arsenal captain ahead of next season, and according to Holding, Odegaard is a player who has impressed him in training and on the pitch with his technique and skill.
The Arsenal centre-back when asked which player is the most skilful: “I’d say Martin. He’s smooth, when he gets the ball on his left foot and he jinks inside and does his little passes, he’s nice with it.”
Odegaard praise from Holding highlights impact at Arsenal

The Scandinavian playmaker has been a revelation at Arsenal since joining the club, with Odegaard bringing creativity back to the XI that has been missing for some time, and Holding’s praise of the midfielder highlights his impact in north London.
The former Madrid star has been one of the best Arsenal players to watch this season, and with Odegaard only 23, the Premier League star has the potential to become a world-beater for the north London club if his development continues.
