Arsenal are set up for years of success under Mikel Arteta – at least according to former Everton and Manchester United ace Tim Howard.
The Gunners have been having an incredible season under Arteta.
Many were impressed with the summer transfer business with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus arriving from Manchester City.
The view was that those two signings – along with the return of William Saliba – would help Arsenal crack the top four.
Few really expected this Arsenal team to be challenging for the title, but the Gunners sit eight points clear of Manchester City as things stand.
Even though the midweek draw with Newcastle was frustrating, there is real hope and belief that Arsenal can go all the way this season.

Tim Howard backs Arsenal for lasting success
Keeping this kind of form going will be difficult and Arteta may need some January additions to realistically make it happen.
Former Everton and Manchester United goalkeeper Tim Howard has certainly been impressed this season.
Howard has been speaking to NBCSN over in his native United States and heaped praise on Arsenal, Arteta and Edu.
Howard suggested that Arsenal have a naivety about them because they don’t know what it’s like to play as the leaders, they’re just having fun.
That naivety is a good thing in Howard’s mind and he believes the success is coming for years.
Howard thinks Arsenal are set up for ‘years of dominance’ thanks to the balance of their side and that their rivals aren’t quite at full tilt.
The former stopper – teammate of Arteta at Everton – added that the Spaniard and Edu haven’t got a signing wrong together yet, really believing that Arsenal can thrive for a while yet.
“They don’t know what it’s like to be the hunted, they’re just having fun, a bunch of young kids, together, learning how to win,” said Howard. “There’s strength in that naivety because they don’t actually know what’s behind the door. When I look at this team, I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I will; this team, the balance of this team, is set up for years of dominance, it really is.”
“Liverpool need a bit of an overhaul, Chelsea have bought every player under the sun, still need time under Graham Potter, Ten Hag is in the process of that planning at Manchester United. This team, they haven’t got a signing wrong, Mikel Arteta and Edu,” he added.
It’s a long season but Arsenal keep passing the tests put in front of them.
It’s a young team and still a relatively young manager, so there will be bumps in the road, but it’s hard not to be excited about this Arsenal side.
