Arsenal’s Stan Flaherty has turned out for Newcastle United.

Newcastle United added to their developmental ranks over the summer, and it seems that they’re still looking to do more of that.
The Magpies snapped up Jake Turner, Kyle Scott and Ludwig Francillette to bolster their Under-23 ranks, whilst Tom Midgley joined their academy from Manchester City too.
Newcastle are still seeking more though, and it seems that Arsenal’s Stan Flaherty is the latest played being eyed up by the Magpies.
Liverpool’s Under-18’s took on their Newcastle counterparts last weekend, and Liverpool’s official match report of the game names Flaherty as being in the Newcastle side.
In fact, the image at the top of this article shows Flaherty in action for Newcastle, all but confirming that he’s currently on trial with the club.
Jeorge Bird’s superb Arsenal Youth blog has also reported that Flaherty has been on trial with Newcastle, with the teenager fighting for a deal on Tyneside.

Flaherty, 17, has been coming up through the Arsenal ranks, but will seemingly be allowed to leave the Gunners having been given permission to go and turn out for Newcastle.
Newcastle struck a similar deal in 2017 when they signed Stefan O’Connor from the Arsenal youth ranks, but whether they’ll pursue a deal for Flaherty remains to be seen, with his under-the-radar display last weekend now being noticed.
