Arsenal’s promising young striker Khayon Edwards is making strides this season, and scored once again on Friday.
Arsenal’s Under-18’s were in action against West Ham United this weekend, playing in the Premier League Cup.
Edwards fired Arsenal in front, only for Divin Mubama to bag an equaliser for West Ham.
Arsenal weren’t to be denied though, as Charles Sagoe Jr bagged a last-gasp winner to give the Gunners a 2-1 victory.
Excitement building over Edwards
Edwards has been in great form of late.
In four Under-18 Premier League games, Edwards has hit four goals and two assists. A brace against Southampton last weekend was particularly impressive.
Edwards was then called up for first-team training just a matter of days ago.
It’s early days for the 18-year-old, but with Mikel Arteta seemingly spotting his potential, excitement is building.
Edwards only just turned 18 last week, so expectations do have to be managed, but he looks like a great talent.

Edwards posts exciting message for Arsenal fans
Edwards knows he’s in great form right now.
After his goal against West Ham, Edwards took to Instagram to send an exciting message.
Edwards stated ‘can’t stop, won’t stop’ as he celebrated yet another goal.
Arsenal fans will absolutely hope there is more to come, and it seems that the teenager is enjoying his football right now.
