Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has claimed that Arsenal transfer target and Chelsea star, N’Golo Kante, is ‘one of the best midfielders of the last ten years’.
The Leicester City player trained alongside Kante prior to his transfer to Chelsea in 2016 and added that he was ‘the best player’ he trained with, even though they didn’t play alongside each other in a competitive game.
Whilst Kante wasn’t a highly-rated youngster or a wonderkid when coming through, when he did land on the Premier League stage, he made quite a stunning impact.
The 31-year-old was a big reason why Leicester shocked the world and became champions of England under the stewardship of Claudio Ranieri.
That was followed up by helping Chelsea to the Premier League title under Antonio Conte, then World Cup glory with France and then Champions League success with Thomas Tuchel.
Kante will go down as one of the greats of the game and Dewsbury-Hall, who got a glimpse of the player at Leicester, had nothing but high praise for the player, as he told Tubes and Ange Golf Life.
“He’s the nicest guy in the world,” said Dewsbury-Hall. “I have been asked before, I haven’t played with him, but he is the best player I have trained with.
“I was a young lad going into training with the first team and I just couldn’t believe how good he was. He was everywhere. He wouldn’t give you an inch.
“Normally, you would have a bit of time and get your head up. But as soon I get the ball, bang there and I am thinking ‘is this what it’s like if you want to get to the top’. Being able to train with him made me realise, that’s the level you have to get to.
“For what he has gone on to do. He deserved everything he has got. You are one of the most humble guys in the world, but you are one of the best midfielders. He has been one of the best midfielders of the last ten years.”

France lost the World Cup final in the most dramatic games you will ever see, but they were without one of their figureheads from 2018.
Kante has been dealing with a number of injury problems for well over a year now, and with less than 12 months left to run on his contract, it seems as though he will be heading for the Chelsea exit door.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been one of the clubs mentioned to sign the Chelsea player, but ahead of the January window opening, it seems as though Barcelona have taken the lead in the race for his signature.
