Arsenal want to keep hold of playmaker Martin Odegaard – but their hopes rest in the hands of Real Madrid.
Odegaard has made a huge impression since arriving on loan from Real, and the Gunners will hope to keep him in North London, even if only for another year.
Arsenal are though looking at potential alternatives in case Real won’t deal, and their latest target seems to also be playing his football in Spain.
Goal report that Arsenal are looking to land Real Betis star Nabil Fekir, picking him out as one of the top alternatives to Odegaard.
The 27-year-old has recorded just three goals and six assists for Betis this season, whilst he finished last term on seven goals and seven assists.
A deal of around £26million could be struck, with Fekir a long-term target on the Arsenal radar since his time with Lyon.
Fekir played with Alexandre Lacazette at Lyon, forming a great tandem as Fekir served as the creative force behind the goalscoring prowess of Lacazette.

If Fekir ends up at Arsenal, the duo can rekindle their partnership – and Fekir has already made his thoughts on Lacazette clear.
Football.London quoted Fekir in 2017 as saying that he thinks Lacazette is ‘excellent’, believing Lyon would miss him following his £40million move.
“We’re going to miss him, for sure,” said Fekir. “I really hope he flourishes at Arsenal. Alex is an excellent player,” he added.
Lacazette’s future is unclear given that he has just over a year left on his contract, but Arsenal may be wise to keep him if they plan on signing Fekir, reuniting the pair in a dangerous tandem.
