Alexis Mac Allister’s representatives will reportedly meet with Juventus next week to discuss a potential move in 2023, with Arsenal also interested in signing the Argentine international.

According to La Repubblica, the Bianconeri will sit down with the Brighton & Hove Albion superstar’s team to test the waters over if the attacking midfielder wants to sign for Juventus, with Mac Allister one of the breakout stars of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Seagulls midfielder featured heavily for Argentina out in Qatar as the 24-year-old played a major role in the South American giants winning their third-ever World Cup, with interest now at an all-time high for Mac Allister, with Arsenal in the mix.

CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs recently claimed that Mikel Arteta’s side are interested in Mac Allister, though a move for the Brighton star might have to wait until the summer as the Gunners are currently working on a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk superstar Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Labelled as ‘sublime’ by Graeme Souness, Mac Allister’s stock has risen considerably since the World Cup in Qatar, and Juventus now seem intent on signing the Brighton star in 2023, with the Italian giants set for a transformative year.

Indeed, Arsenal missing out on Mac Allister would feel like a blow for the Gunners given how good the midfielder was for Argentina out in the Middle East this winter. However, given who Arteta is currently chasing, supporters won’t be too bummed out if Juventus ultimately win the race for the 24-year-old.

Mac Allister’s career and reputation has taken off since winning the World Cup this month, and whilst Juventus are not the European powerhouses they once were, signing for the Old Lady would still be a massive step in the right direction for the Argentina international.

After all, Juventus are still one of the most popular and biggest clubs in the world, and moving from Brighton to Turin would be quite the step up for Mac Allister, who has shown this month that he has the potential to play amongst the best football has to offer.
