The Athletic have reported that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are interested in signing Adam Hlozek, a player Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring to Anfield.

Arsenal are ‘strong admirers’ of 19-year-old Sparta Prague forward Hlozek, according to a report in The Athletic published this morning.

However, Bayer Leverkusen are keen on the Czech Republic international as well, according to the report.

Interestingly, Liverpool have also been linked with Hlozek, described as “an extraordinary talent” by his former coach Zdenek Scasny in Goal in May 2020.

Back in March, Jeunes Footeux reported that Liverpool manager Klopp wants to sign the 19-year-old as a potential replacement for Divock Origi, who is leaving Anfield this summer.

Arsenal or Liverpool for Adam Hlozek?

In our opinion, Sparta Prague forward Adam Hlozek is likely to choose Arsenal over Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old is a regular in the Sparta team, and he will surely want to join a club where he will get playing time.

That is unlikely to happen at Liverpool when you consider that Klopp has Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota at his disposal.

Arsenal need two or three new strikers in the summer transfer window.

Hlozek is a versatile player who can operate as a striker, on the left or as an attacking midfielder.

The teenager scored eight goals and gave 13 assists in the league, scored one goal in the Europa League, and found the back of the net once in the Conference League this season.
