Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino would almost certainly love to have Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson in his squad now.

Spurs were the first club in North London to spot Nelson’s talent when he was just a kid, and the Lilywhites offered him the chance to come and play for their academy side.
However, Nelson’s performance for Tottenham was so strong, that Arsenal immediately became interested.
And when Arsenal offered him a chance, Nelson decided against staying with Tottenham.
He said: “I had a game for them, played very well and then I got home that night and I had a lot of teams calling me. It was so late, and I had school the next morning, but at 12 o’clock Arsenal called and I went directly in the morning to the training ground. Ever since then I have been there.”

Tottenham would have loved to have Nelson now, given his reputation as one of the finest English prospects.
Arsenal have loaned Nelson out to the Bundesliga, and the 19-year-old has been in excellent form for Hoffenheim.
Nelson has scored six goals in 18 appearances in Germany’s top flight to date, and is expected to feature back at Arsenal next term.
