Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi has the potential to become of one the Gunners’ greatest players.
Speaking to reporters, the father of Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi insisted that his son would reject a move to Barcelona or any other club in the world, even if they offered him more money than he receives from the Gunners, as quoted by the Daily Star.
Iwobi is currently away on international duty with Nigeria, after playing an integral role in Arsene Wenger’s starting XI for Arenal so far this season.

The 20-year-old burst on to the scene last year, making his debut during the Gunners’ League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in October 2015, and has since gone from strength to strength, usurping the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a regular starter for the north London giants.
The Nigerian’s father spoke to reporters, and was adamant that his son would not be going anywhere anytime soon, as quoted by the Daily Star:

“He’s doing well at Arsenal but should any club come for him now, the answer would certainly be no. For him now, it’s not about the money. So, should a club like Barcelona come with more money, he will certainly stay back at Arsenal because now it is not about him making money, it’s about him concentrating on his career, progressing and going on to the next stage.”
Iwobi’s father’s words will be music to Arsenal fans’ ears, after having to endure the loss of so many top talents to rival clubs during the past decade.
Keeping someone like Iwobi at the club can sometimes be just as big a statement as bringing in a big money signing, and it will surely be something high up on Arsene Wenger’s agenda.
