Jack Jebb was very impressed by the Christian Eriksen free-kick against Dnipro.
Tottenham Hotspur have completed a magnificent comeback in the Europa League – after overcoming an away goal and 2-0 aggregate deficit to defeat Ukrainian outfit Dnipro 3-2.
The goals that put them through came from Emmanuel Adebayor – and a helping hand was also applied by Jan Vertonghen’s amateur dramatics – which saw Dnipro goalscorer Roman Zozulya sent off for a head-butt.
But the ball got rolling after Christian Eriksen finally delivered on his free-kick prowess.
When he arrived at the club he did so with a reputation as one of the best free-kick takers in the world – in fact many would have said he was the best.
He was bending in strikes on a regular basis for Ajax in the advent of his Amsterdam stay – and he showed off his talent with a curling, powerful effort that beat Denis Boyko in the 56th minute.
The strike received plenty of attention on Twitter – including from fellow footballers.
One such player was Arsenal prospect Jack Jebb.
The starlet, who at the age of 18 is still waiting for a break into the first-team, recently hit the news for receiving a four match ban for using a racial term.
The England youth international was watching the game last night and despite recognising that Eriksen’s free kick was impressive – the latter part of his Tweet turned out not to come true:
Something for Spurs fans to enjoy no doubt.
