Arsenal teenager Kristoffer Olsson is in the Sweden Under-21 side.

Arsenal have plenty of talented young players in their ranks – but only a few are teetering on the precipice of first-team football.

One of which is Swedish youngster Kristoffer Olsson.

The technically gifted pass master in the centre of the park has often been seen to train with the first-team – and has impressed in pre-season fixtures last summer.

He is obviously a talent highly thought of at Arsenal Football Club – and that belief extends to his national team.

He is a regular in the Swedish youth system – playing most recently at under-19 level for his country.

The Vrinnevi born midfield maestro really caught the eye in game against Azerbaijan’s under-19s – as he set up four of his teams five goals.

But as yet he has not been lucky enough to receive a call-up to the under-21 side – until now.

The 18-year-old has now been included in the most recent under-21 squad for the upcoming 2015 UEFA Euro Under-21 qualification match against Malta by head-coach Hakan Ericson.

He joins the likes of Manchester City’s on-loan Stoke City striker John Guidetti and Premier League linked defender Aleksandar Milosevic in the squad for the game – and he will hope to cement a place in the squad for future games.

And he was clearly happy with the news – which he spread via Twitter:
