Arsenal star to use influence to help Arteta sign £30m World Cup sensation

Arsenal will reportedly use the influence Thomas Partey has in the Ghana national team to help sign Mohammed Kudus, who has been a breakout star for the African nation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to Ghana SoccerNet, the Gunners are eager to swoop in for the Ajax talent using Partey as a catalyst to help Mikel Arteta land Kudus, who has been one of the best players out in Qatar as some of Europe’s biggest clubs are now lining up to sign the 22-year-old.

Kudus bagged a brace for the Black Stars in their 3-2 win against South Korea as the attacking midfielder was named Man of the Match for Ghana. And as per the report, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United are now keeping tabs on the youngster.

With 90min claiming that Ajax could sell Kudus for just £30m, a potential bargain could be on the cards if the Dutch giants stick to this transfer valuation in the January window, with Arsenal now potential favourites to sign the Ghanian if Partey uses his influence well.

Indeed, Kudus could be an exciting signing for Arsenal in the January window if the Gunners can beat out the likes of Liverpool and United to the youngster’s signature. And for Arteta, the World Cup star could be a great alternative in the market if the north London side misses out on other key targets.

However, Kudus’ form in Qatar could ultimately be Arsenal’s undoing, with the midfielder’s form potentially reaching a stage where the Ghana superstar becomes inaccessible for Arteta, even if Partey is able to convince the youngster to swap Amsterdam for London.

Arsenal could face major challenge to sign Kudus

Kudus has been one of the best players at the World Cup this winter, and the midfielder’s form is soon becoming something of a problem for Arsenal in their quest to win the youngster’s signature, with bigger clubs with larger pockets likely to come in soon for the Ghana star.

As we know, Arsenal don’t have that much to spell in January, and whilst Kudus is still within the Gunners’ price range, the midfielder could become too expensive for the north London side, which would be a massive loss for Arteta and his long-term plans.
