During an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez has shared how he trawled the internet, studying videos of some of the world’s best strikers, in a bid to help him visualise how he needed to adjust his movement after Gunners boss Arsene Wenger asked him to play the central striking role.

The Chilean has been a revelation in his new-found position so far this term, and has led the line for the Gunners during the absence of Olivier Giroud, scoring eight goals and chipping in with five assists in 15 appearances.
Sanchez spoke to Arsenal.com, and explained the lengths he went to in order to be fully prepared to fulfil the role that Wenger asked of him:
“Wenger asked me to play there so I said fine—I looked up some videos on the internet to see how I needed to adjust my movement, and I’ve been adapting since then.”

Sanchez’ failure to agree new terms on a deal with the Emirates outfit, that would see him commit his future to the club, must be a serious concern for Wenger.
Without the former Barcelona man in their side, the Gunners lack the tenacity and aggression that the Chilean has in abundance, and the Arsenal hierarchy must make it a matter of urgency to tie Sanchez down to a long-term deal.
