The midfielder registered more passes, and more accurate passes than any other other player.

Saturday’s 2-1 loss to West Brom was a bad day all round for Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla.

Not only did his side’s defeat put a big dent in their title hopes, it also denied them the chance to go clear at the top of the table with Manchester City also losing.

Cazorla in particular didn’t have a good afternoon, as his slip saw him miss a last minute penalty that could have secured his side a point at least a point from the game.

However, it wasn’t all bad news for the Spaniard, as he managed to dominate two particular statistical areas this past weekend.

The midfielder registered more accurate passes than any other players in the Premier League, with 113 in total. That was 14 more than Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.

Indeed, it seems he dominated the total number of passes as well, as he registered 127 in total, with Fabregas once again coming in second, this time 16 behind the Gunners star.

An impressive passing display from Cazorla then, although given his performances over recent seasons, his dominance of the passing charts will not come as a surprise to many.
