The Gunners gave arguably their worst performance of the season on Tuesday, when they lost 2-0 to their German rivals in the Champions League Group D.
Although Arsene Wenger’s side had chances in the match at the Signal Iduna Park, they were by far the inferior team as Dortmund tore them apart.
The defence looked shaky and without pace, while the midfield showed little creativity and imagination – Dortmund could have actually scored four or five goals had they been more accurate with their shots and Wojciech Szczesny not been in good form between the posts.
England international left-back Gibbs played the entire 90 minutes of the game and is now seemingly ready to forget about it.
The 24-year-old posted the following photo of his (new?) boots on social networking site Twitter along with a message that clearly shows that he is gearing up for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
