As shown in the following video posted by CBS Sports, Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin did not swap shirts with Slavia Prague right-back Tomas Holes last night.
Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw with Slavia at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Nicolas Pepe put the Gunners in the lead in the 86th minute, but Holes restored parity in the third minute of injury time.
The 28-year-old Czech right-back wanted to swap shirts with fellow right-back Bellerin, but the Spain international refused.
Bellerin deciding not to swap shirts is very encouraging indeed. Aside from maintaining covid rules, it shows just how competitive the 26-year-old is and how hurt he was by the result.
The Spaniard did not play particularly well either, and Arsenal will be disappointed that they conceded the late equaliser.
Although the Gunners will still fancy their chances of getting the job done in the second leg, they will know that Slavia now have the advantage of a crucial away goal.
Arsenal need to step up their game in the second leg and have to take their chances.
