Tottenham Hotspur linked with summer move for Eberechi Eze
Declan Rice’s praise for Eberechi Eze shows why Tottenham Hotspur wanted to sign the Crystal Palace playmaker in the summer transfer window.
The Independent reported on August 30 that Spurs were considering a late bid for Eze.
Tottenham were in talks with Nottingham Forest for Brennan Johnson at the time, but the North London club were struggling to agree a deal with the Reds.

Spurs eventually came to an agreement with Forest for Wales international forward Johnson.
Tottenham did not make a bid for Eze in the end.
And, the playmaker is still at Palace.
The 25-year-old England international attacker has made 89 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Eze has scored 16 goals and given 11 assists in those games.
It will be interesting to see if Spurs return for Eze in the coming years.
After all, he is only 25 now and is very likely to get even better in the next two or three years.
