Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has revealed he will not feature in today’s match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud was a major doubt for this afternoon’s FA Cup third-round match against fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and the Frenchman has now confirmed he will not be playing.
Having been suffering from sickness and an ankle injury, Giroud has revealed that his illness has got the better of him, and that rather than playing in the North London derby, he will be watching it from home.
Writing on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, the Arsenal man said, “Still a bit sick…Then I’ll watch the North London derby at home. All the best to you guys!“
With fellow striker Nicklas Bendtner also injured, Arsene Wenger has a decision to make as to who will play up front, with Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott the most likely candidates.
