Rangers bound Glen Kamara gets huge vote of confidence from former teammate.
Rangers are set to welcome Glen Kamara to Ibrox in June after the midfielder signed a pre-contract agreement.
Kamara could even seal his switch to Rangers if Dundee agree to sell him this month, as they are keen to do, BBC Sport report.
But just how good is the midfielder? According to his former Arsenal teammate Alex Iwobi, very good.
Iwobi named Kamara in a best XI of players he has ever played with, naming Kamara in midfield along with Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil.
The duo starred for the Arsenal academy together and made their first team debut in the same game.
While Iwobi has been a success at Arsenal, Kamara did not pin down a first team role and left the club in pursuit of regular football.
His stint at Dundee has been a success, earning him a big move to Rangers, with Steven Gerrard impressed.
Iwobi explained his selection, telling Arsenal’s YouTube channel: “In midfield I’m going to put Glen Kamara.
“Every time growing up for the under-18s we used to have the ball all the time. We used to keep the ball, dictate play, and even now he’s doing well playing for Dundee and Finland’s first team, I’ll give it to him.”
It’s a real vote of confidence for the Rangers bound midfielder considering the calibre of players Iwobi could have picked instead, including Aaron Ramsey or Jack Wilshere.
