Arsenal are reportedly keen on yet another Palmeiras wonderkid this summer with many teenagers departing the South American club.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have never really explored the South American market too deeply since the Spaniard took charge of the Gunners.
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli was probably the last major South American player to make the move to North London.
However, it is fair to say that Martinelli has been a successful addition for the Gunners with Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot labelling the Brazilian winger as one of the toughest opponents he has ever played against.

Arsenal could be about to explore the South American market once again.
According to a post on X from Diario AS’ Edu Borges, Arsenal are one of three Premier League sides who have ‘sounded out’ Palmeiras for teenager Vitor Reis.
The defender is just 18 years of age but he has turned heads with his performances in recent weeks, having started 10 games for Palmeiras since the start of July. He only made his senior debut as a substitute against Fortaleza at the end of June.
Borges, who works for AS, claims that alongside Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have also kept an eye on Reis but Borges goes on to claim that Real Madrid are also set to scout the teenage defender sooner rather than later.
The teenager has been captain of Brazil’s Under 17 team since the start of last year. He started all but one match at the South American Under 17 Championships as his team won 7 of their 9 fixtures.

The teenage defender, as mentioned, only made his debut for Palmeiras back in June but he has been attracting interest.
Spanish newspaper Diario AS wrote on their website: “Among Reis’ qualities as a player, two particularly notable traits are his good positioning and tactical intelligence.”
Reis only signed a new contract with Palmeiras back at the start of August with the defender’s deal running until 2028.
The teenager can play as a right-sided defender or a left-sided defender which could be key for Mikel Arteta’s side if they choose to pursue a deal.
West Ham signed Palmeiras’ Luis Guilherme earlier this summer whilst Real Madrid completed the signing of teenage sensation Endrick back in 2023. Reis could be the next name on the conveyor belt of talent.
