Arsenal have had a quiet start to the summer transfer window but offers are now starting to arrive on their desk.

The only business concluded by the Gunners so far has been David Raya making his stay in North London permanent.

But with Mikel Arteta looking to go one step further in their pursuit of the Premier League title next season, more transfer business is expected.

As revealed by HITC, Arsenal have struck an agreement to sign Riccardo Calafiori with the deal expected to be finalised within days.

The 22-year-old Bologna defender is set to become Arsenal‘s first summer of the window, and reports from France suggest they are about to receive a proposal for Eddie Nketiah.

HITC revealed in April that Arsenal are open to selling Nketiah this summer with Premier League sides West Ham, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Bournemouth all interested.

Marseille submit offer for Eddie Nketiah

According to French outlet L’Equipe, Olympique Marseille are working towards a deal to sign Nketiah this summer.

The report adds that they are working on a paid loan agreement with a mandatory purchase option for the 25-year-old striker.

HITC understands that Arsenal have set an asking price of £50million for Nketiah this summer that they are not willing to budge from.

The Gunners are not desperate to cash in on Nketiah this summer with Emile Smith Rowe linked with a move to Fulham or Crystal Palace and Reiss Nelson also inching towards an exit.

Arsenal point towards the £35million sale of Folarin Balogun to Monaco last summer as the reasoning behind Nketiah’s price tag – they will hold out for a bigger fee this time around.

Nketiah has fallen down the pecking order at The Emirates with Gabriel Jesus preferred by Arteta to lead the line.

But the Gunners boss is still a big admirer of Nketiah, branding him “a beast” last summer after watching him in training.
