Callum Hudson-Odoi is a man in demand. The Chelsea talent is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer with his game time limited and Arsenal should join the Hudson-Odoi race – a player Cesc Fabregas is a big fan of.

Hudson-Odoi, 21, was missing from Saturday’s win against Everton. Thomas Tuchel did not even include the England international on the bench. So, it comes as little surprise that clubs are now queuing up to sign the winger.

Clubs like Everton, Newcastle, West Ham and Palace all want to sign Hudson-Odoi this summer. But the winger may feel he is worthy of a club in European football – albeit West Ham are in the Europa Conference League this season.

Arsenal need a winger. They have Emile Smith-Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli on the left, and Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe on the right. But the latter could leave the club. So, a winger is likely to be a priority for the Gunners this month.

Arsenal should join Hudson-Odoi race: Fabregas is a big fan

As quoted by Chelsea’s website in 2019, Fabregas said of Hudson Odoi: “‘He is a boy who is full of confidence. His finishing was superb. I thought ‘I have never seen this kid before but actually he has something about him’.”

Hudson-Odoi is a wonderful player. Operating from the right, he just needs regular game time especially with the chance of pushing for England’s World Cup squad. He would get plenty of opportunity at The Emirates.

The positives of a move for Hudson-Odoi joining Arsenal – on loan or permanently – is that he would get that game time. He would join a club in Europe, and a club which saves the £120k-a-week star having to relocate.

Arsenal would surely want him as an option on the right. Hudson-Odoi would surely consider a move to The Gunners. The clubs have done business in the past. The only issue is, would Chelsea want to strengthen a direct rival?
