The Southampton ace has been linked with a move to Liverpool, but Arsenal should challenge them for his signature.

Whoever is in charge of Arsenal at the end of this season has a massive job on their hands in the summer, if they are to return the Gunners to former glories.
The dangerously neglectful approach taken by the Arsenal hierarchy in tying down their star players to long-term deals has finally come back to bite them.
They have already lost Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, when the Chilean would have been worth around £100 million, had he been tied down to a long-term deal last summer.
Another player whose contract is close to expiration is Jack Wilshere, and should the 26-year-old leave the Emirates this summer, the Gunners will have to bring in another midfielder to fill the void left behind by the England international.

Sant Cazorla’s career is seemingly close to coming to an end, so the midfield department must be a real concern for Arsenal.
With this in mind, the north London outfit should consider a move for Southampton star Mario Lemina, who is wanted by Liverpool, according to French media outlet L’Equipe.

The 24-year-old joined the Saints from Juventus in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £18.1 million, and he has impressed during his time on the south coast thus far.
Lemina is a box-to-box midfielder, and excels when carrying the ball from a deep position, helping his side transition from defence to attack in the process.
That kind of quality is exactly what Arsenal will need, if they do in fact lose Wilshere, and they should not hesitate to challenge Liverpool for the Southampton man’s signature in the summer.
