Arsenal head into the final day of the Premier League season hoping and praying to come out ahead of Manchester City.
The Premier League title race heads into its final day with Arsenal still having a chance of coming out on top.
The Gunners have taken it to the final day having beaten Manchester United at Old Trafford last week.
Manchester City were then able to sneak ahead of Arsenal by beating Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.
City now enter the final day two points ahead of Arsenal, leaving the Gunners to desperately seek a favour from West Ham United as they head to the Etihad Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s men may well finish second once again but they just need to get their part of the deal done by beating Everton and then hoping for a result from Arteta’s former boss David Moyes.
Arsenal send Granit Xhaka message
Whilst Arsenal are hoping for everything to go their way on the final day of the season, but one former Gunners ace has already seen the season play out that way.
Arsenal sold midfielder Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen last summer, bringing an end to his seven-year stint at the Emirates Stadium.
The Swiss ace had his ups and downs at Arsenal but left with fans wishing all the best for him moving forward.
Xhaka has embarked on a history-making season whilst playing a key role in Xabi Alonso’s midfield.
Leverkusen have already wrapped up the Bundesliga title but Saturday’s 2-1 win over Augsburg has allowed them to make history.
Alonso’s men have now completed an unbeaten season with that victory – and it could get even better yet.
Leverkusen are also in the Europa League and DFB-Pokal finals, meaning they could win a treble without losing a single game.

Xhaka can celebrate an incredible Bundesliga campaign and he is no doubt tuning into Arsenal’s fortunes on the Premier League’s final day.
Arsenal have now sent a message to Xhaka after seeing him match the Arsenal Invincibles side by going the full league season unbeaten.
Arsenal’s official Instagram account stated ‘We’re so proud of you, Granit’ on the midfielder’s post as he celebrated lifting the Meisterschale.
Gabriel Jesus stated ‘what a player’ too with Arsenal showing some love for the Swiss international.
Arsenal sold Xhaka for around £21.4million last summer but have seen Thomas Partey, Jorginho, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard play key roles in their title charge.
It’s not quite right to say that Arsenal have missed Xhaka, but he has certainly been exceptional under Alonso and could yet have more trophies to lift this season.
The move has worked out well for everybody and Arsenal will now hope to match Xhaka’s title-winning campaign on what could be a nerve-shredding final day of the season.
