Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have revived their interest in Ismael Doukoure, but they are now facing competition from Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, according to a report.
Arsenal and Newcastle United linked with Ismael Doukoure
90min have reported today that Arsenal and Newcastle are interested in signing Doukoure from Strasbourg in the summer transfer window.
Both Arsenal and Newcastle have been watching the youngster since last year and have been hugely impressed by the 19-year-old defender.
Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla and Atalanta are also keen on Doukoure, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder.

This is not the first time that Arsenal have been linked with the teenager.
Back in March 2021, FootMercato claimed that Arsenal and Leicester were looking at Doukoure.
The defender was 17 at the time and was playing for Valenciennes.
Impressive
In our view, Ismael Doukoure is a promising young defender, and we are not surprised at all that Arsenal, Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain all want to sign him and have been impressed by him.
Doukoure is only 19, and he is still growing and developing as a footballer.
The French teenager has made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Strasbourg so far this season.
Doukoure, who can operate as a centre-back or as a right-back, has scored one goal and given one assist in those games.
