According to The Sun, Arsenal are willing to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the summer transfer window.

However, according to the report in the British tabloid, Arsenal want as much as £20 million as transfer fee for the 22-year-old, who is “a very useful player with great speed, technically gifted”, according to comments made by head coach Mikel Arteta in Football.London in January 2020.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Maitland-Niles has made 14 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season, providing two assists in the process.

The 22-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder, winger, full-back or wing-back, has also made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for the Gunners this campaign, according to WhoScored.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the Englishman scored one goal and provided one assist in 16 league games, and scored one goal and provided two assists in 10 Europa League matches for the North London outfit, according to WhoScored.

Staying at Arsenal

Maitland-Niles has to fight hard to play regularly for Arsenal, but he is only 22 years of age now, and it would make sense for him to stay at the Emirates Stadium for one more season at least and see how it goes.
