According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 65, July 26, 2020), Arsenal want to sell Rob Holding in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Holding is on the list of players Arsenal want to offload this summer.

Stats

Arsenal paid Bolton Wanderers £2 million in transfer fees when they signed Holding – described as “a proper talent” by Gunners legend Ray Parlour in Football.London in June 2020 – in the summer of 2016, according to BBC Sport.

According to WhoScored, Holding has made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League, and has played thrice in the Europa League for Arsenal this season.

Arsenal exit?

Holding has had injury problems during his time at Arsenal, and the defender has yet to make himself indispensable to head coach Mikel Arteta.

True, the 24-year-old has been playing well in recent weeks, but with David Luiz staying at the Emirates Stadium next season, there is an argument to be made that the Gunners do have more centre-backs than they need on their books at the moment.
