Tottenham Hotspur should challenge Arsenal for the Real Madrid star’s signature.

According to Spanish media outlet OK Diario, Arsenal have made an enquiry to Real Madrid regarding the potential availability of Lucas Vazquez, but Tottenham should attempt to hijack any potential move for the Spaniard.
The 26-year-old began his career with the Spanish giants, but has only really risen to prominence at the Santiago Bernabeu over the past couple of years.

The eight-capped Spain international is a hard-working right winger, and whilst he would be a welcomed addition to the Arsenal squad, it could be argued that their north London rivals Tottenham are more in need of his services.

Mauricio Pochettino has built a wonderful group of players at Spurs, but the Argentine undoubtedly needs to bolster his ranks further still, if he is to guide his side to major honours over the coming years.

One particular area where the Tottenham boss will want to improve upon is his wide attacking department, with more competition required for the likes of Heung-Min Son, Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen.
With this in mind, Lucas Vazquez seems to be the ideal summer addition for the Lilywhites, with the added bonus of being able to ruin their bitter rival’s plans in the process.
The Spain international could be a real hit at White Hart Lane, and if Poch manages to bring him to Tottenham, competition for places in the final third would be at an all-time high.
