According to Calciomercato24.com, Arsenal are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Gunners wanted to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain central midfielder in January 2020 on a loan deal as well.

The France international even spoke to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta in January, according to the report, but he eventually stayed at Juve.

Stats

Rabiot joined Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer after leaving French powerhouse PSG at the end of last season.

So far this season, the 25-year-old has made 11 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A for the Bianconeri, and has also played 278 minutes in the Champions League for the Italian outfit, according to WhoScored.

Football in England and Italy is suspended at the moment, and it is not clear when the summer transfer window will open.

Snubbing Tottenham Hotspur

According to ESPN, Rabiot turned down the chance to join Tottenham before he moved to PSG in the summer of 2019.

It was reported by ESPN in December 2018 that there was interest from Spurs, but the Frenchman considered the North London outfit to be below him and was looking for a bigger club.
