Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri with a £40million figure needed to land the Moroccan. A player, that Kevin Campbell suggested Arsenal should bring to the Emirates in 2021.

En-Nesyri, 24, has been superb for Sevilla in the two years he has spent under Julen Lopetegui. Clocking up 95 appearances, he has scored 33 goals but it is his ability as a target man that brings other players into play.

His form at Sevilla has caught the eye of both Arsenal and West Ham – according to Planet Sport. They report that a fee of £40million will be needed for the striker – along with nine other potential Arsenal signings.

Earlier this season, ex-Arsenal striker Campbell has discussed the potential of the Gunners signing En-Nesyri and believes the Moroccan would be a superb addition. Campbell believes he would “carry a threat” for Arsenal.

“Good player, really good,” Campbell told the Highbury Squad podcast. “He would definitely come in and carry a threat. I will tell you that much. He has good size, speed, knows where the goal is, he is skilful too.”

En-Nesyri might not be the regular goalscorer that Arsenal fans may feel they need. But Mikel Arteta has shown that with Alexandre Lacazette up top, they need a striker that can be the focal point – to create chances.

Lacazette only has three goals this season – but it is his build-up play, his creation, his ability to bring the best out of his teammates. Arsenal have a whole host of attacking midfielders and wingers that Lacazette improves.

With the Frenchman out of contract in the summer, Arsenal need a player that can carry on the mantle of Lacazette. En-Nesyri is more than capable of doing that – and at £40million, he is a pretty cheap option.
