Arsenal are reportedly looking to bring Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara back to the club this month. It is believed the Gers star is an option for the Gunners, a player that Alex Iwobi said can “dictate” play in 2019.

Kamara, 26, has been a regular for Rangers ever since joining the Scottish Premiership champions back in January 2019. In three years at Rangers, Kamara has clocked up an enormous 133 appearances in all competitions.

Give Me Sport report that Kamara is available for a bargain £10million – despite the 40-time Finland international having a contract at Ibrox until 2025. Arsenal are now said to be keen on luring him south of the border.

90Min claim Arsenal want to bring back the Finland ace, with Mikel Arteta’s side seriously lacking in midfield options. Speaking about his old Arsenal academy teammate in 2019, Iwobi raved about him to Arsenal’s YouTube.

“Everytime, especially when we were growing up in the under-18’s, when I played with Glen – I used to enjoy it. We used to have the ball all the time, he would keep the ball, dictate play – started to play for Dundee,” Iwobi said.

Iwobi on Kamara: Arsenal making a superb signing, if £10m fee is true

Kamara would be wonderful signing for Arsenal – as the Gunners look to add depth in the middle of the park. It is a concern, worsened after Granit Xhaka was shown a straight red card on Thursday night at Anfield.

Mo Elneny and Thomas Partey are at AFCON – while Elneny is out of contract in the summer. Ainsley Maitland-Niles has joined Roma on loan, and Xhaka is now suspended. It leaves just Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Arsenal need long-term replacements, but also a short-term addition and Kamara is ideal. Surely, a player that would love to join Arsenal given his past – and one that is available for a small-ish figure.
