Han-Noah Massengo is a player Arsenal are reportedly interested in, and the midfielder’s previous comments on Paris Saint-Germain duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar will be very encouraging for the Emirates Stadium faithful.
According to a report in The Daily Mail this month, Arsenal have scouted Bristol City midfielder Massengo this season.
The Frenchman moved to City in the Championship in England from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco in the summer of 2019.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been doing well for the Robins this campaign, making 21 starts and two substitute appearances in the league, according to WhoScored.
Massengo is a very talented and promising young midfielder who would be a smart signing for Arsenal, especially in the long run.
The midfielder is hugely ambitious, and he has raved about Neymar and has said that he wants to use Mbappe as an inspiration and become better.
Massengo told City’s official website in May: “But I think the best opponent I have played was Kylian Mbappe.
“He started at Monaco as did I. I started in the Academy when he was starting out and I watched every game he played. He was a dream. Probably him or Neymar are the best players I have played against.
“This guy is crazy good. He does everything so quickly and I think if I want to be the best, to improve I need to use these players as my inspiration. They always want to be the best and do the best they can.”
Massengo has played in central midfield for City, and is a very different player to Mbappe or Neymar.
However, the teenager seems to have picked the perfect players to look up to, and perhaps in the coming years he will become like them.. for Arsenal.
