Tottenham reportedly wanted Arsenal’s Calum Chambers in 2017.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are looking to offload defender Calum Chambers this summer when his loan deal with Fulham comes to an end.
The Gunners landed Chambers from Southampton back in 2014, feeling they had landed a real talent for the future – but his time at the Emirates Stadium has been mixed.
Chambers has played just 48 Premier League games for Arsenal, and after spending the 2016-17 season with Middlesbrough, he was farmed out on loan again this term to Fulham.
The 24-year-old has been in a relegated side, but he has shown some promise as a holding midfielder, emerging as one of Fulham’s better performers in a dismal season.
Arsenal still want to sell though, and that may just pique the interest of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who gave Chambers his breakthrough at Southampton.
In 2017, the Daily Mail claimed that Pochettino wanted Chambers at Tottenham. Arsenal chose to keep hold of Chambers, but the Spurs boss may be interest in a reunion once again.

The London Evening Standard recently noted that Spurs want homegrown players, particularly at centre back and in holding midfield – exactly the areas Chambers has been playing for Fulham this season.
There’s untapped potential in Chambers, but Pochettino got the best out of him at Southampton. A deal may be difficult given the rivalry between the two sides, but it may be worth a cheeky move to see if Pochettino can kickstart Chambers’ career again whilst raiding Arsenal.
