According to Le10Sport, Arsenal have identified Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez as a potential target this summer, with Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin also on their list.

It has been reported by the French news outlet that Arsenal are drawing up plans should they lose Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer transfer window.

While Lacazette is wanted by Juventus and the France international himself is attracted by the Italian giants, fellow striker Aubameyang is considering all options as he is out of contract at the Gunners next summer, according to the report.

Arsenal have identified Wolves striker Jimenez as a potential replacement for Lacazette or Aubameyang, according to Le10Sport, which has added that Newcastle winger Saint-Maximin and Lyon duo Moussa Dembele and Memphis Depay are also on head coach Mikel Arteta’s radar.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Jimenez has scored 17 goals and provided six assists in the Premier League, and has scored three goals and provided three assists in the Europa League for Wolves this season.

Huge praise

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore is a huge fan of the Mexico international striker, and while recommending him to the Reds earlier this month, he outlined his attributes (click here to read more).

Collymore wrote in The Mirror (print edition, page 47, July 7, 2020): “He’s great in the box, attacks crosses exceptionally well, links play and is an all-round eight out of ten in the art of striking.”
