Arsenal could face Crystal Palace next week with Michael Olise absent from the Eagles squad, who has withdrawn from the France U-21 squad due to injury.
The French Football Federation (FFF), the French equivalent of the English FA, released a statement over the weekend that the 20-year-old winger has returned to south London after suffering inflammation in his left foot, which has stopped Olise from training.
The former Reading star has been incredible for the Eagles this season, with Olise making the jump from Championship football to the Premier League with seamless ease and the winger developing well under Patrick Vieira.
The winger has bagged four goals and nine assists in all competitions for Palace this campaign, and with Arsenal next up in the Premier League, this injury news could be a huge boost for the Gunners.
Arsenal have won their last five away matches in the Premier League but have struggled against Palace greatly in recent seasons, with Mikel Arteta’s side needing a last-second equaliser in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign at the Emirates Stadium.
And with Palace potentially having Olise out injured for this London derby, Arsenal will see this as a big update ahead of the clash next Monday, with a win another huge step for the Gunners in claiming a top-four spot.
Arsenal can end Palace curse if Olise misses derby through injury

Selhurst Park has been something of a cursed ground for Arsenal in recent years, with Palace asserting themselves as the Gunner’s bogey team with the north London side winning just three of their last ten matches against the Eagles.
However, with the ‘sensational’ Olise potentially out through injury, this one piece of news could be what is needed for Arsenal to break their Palace hoodoo in what might be a season-defining fixture for Arteta’s young guns.
