Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal do not want to offload Emile Smith Rowe.
The Italian journalist has told CaughtOffSide that Arsenal consider Emile Smith Rowe as part of their future and do not want to sell the attacking midfielder in the summer transfer window.
There has been speculation in recent days that West Ham United are interested in Smith Rowe.
The Sun reported last week that with Arsenal interested in signing Declan Rice from West Ham, the Hammers want a deal that involves the 22-year-old moving to London Stadium.
Romano said: “Arsenal want to submit a proposal for Declan Rice. We’ll see for sure when the offer is made, it’s hard to predict the day for now.
“Smith Rowe, however, is part of Arsenal’s plans for the future, they don’t want to let him go.”

What should Arsenal do about Emile Smith Rowe?
In our view, Arsenal should not cash in on Emile Smith Rowe in the summer transfer window.
True, the 22-year-old England international – described as “very technical” and “very powerful at the same time” by former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg on BT Sports 3 (7:21pm, April 29, 2021) – did not have the best of times this past season.
Injuries and competition for places saw the attacking midfielder limited to 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League, one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa League and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup.
However, we know how good Smith Rowe is.
And he has come through the Arsenal academy.
We believe that Arsenal should give the Englishman at least another season to get back to his best.
After all, Smith Rowe is only 22.
