Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will miss out on Vinicius Tobias to Real Madrid, according to 90min.
The report has claimed that Madrid have agreed terms with Tobias despite interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City.
The Spanish giants will sign the 18-year-old Brazilian right-back on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk until the summer when they plan to hand him a five-year contract.
Madrid have already agreed on that deal in principle.
Tobias, who joined Ukrainian giants Shakhtar from Internacional in January 2022, will initially link up with Madrid’s B team and train with Carlo Ancelotti’s senior team as well.
90min have reported that Arsenal and City wanted to sign the right-back, but they were forced to pull out of the running, as the Premier League are not allowing any players to join now despite FIFA and UEFA rulings that allow foreign players to move on a provisional basis.
