Arsenal want Raphinha but the winger seems absolutely set on staying with Barcelona as he aims to win more trophies moving forward.

Barcelona faced bitter rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night, and it proved to be a dream evening.

Gavi and Robert Lewandowski found the net to put Barcelona 2-0 up before half time.

Pedri added a third to pretty much kill the game off before Karim Benzema grabbed a very late consolation for Real.

This is a real statement win for Xavi, who has now won his first trophy as Barcelona manager and will be hoping to add the La Liga title later this year.

Arsenal target Raphinha doesn’t sound interested in leaving Barcelona

Winger Raphinha didn’t start the game as Xavi went with Ousmane Dembele and Gavi down the flanks.

Raphinha did replace Dembele with 12 minutes to play though and was able to bask in a great Barcelona win – just as rumours about an exit ramp up.

That may sound bonkers; Barcelona paid £55million to lure Raphinha away from Leeds United over the summer.

Raphinha has only started seven La Liga games though and hasn’t quite impressed as much as he did in West Yorkshire.

There are suddenly rumours about a departure with Arsenal – who wanted Raphinha over the summer – now interested again.

Sky Sports claim that Arsenal have been in touch with Raphinha’s agent Deco to gauge a potential transfer after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea.

However, Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that Raphinha has no interest in leaving Barcelona right now.

The Brazilian allegedly dreams fo becoming a Barcelona superstar and isn’t giving up just months into his time at the Camp Nou.

Raphinha spoke about his first trophy win last night, just hours after those Arsenal rumours emerged.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Raphinha admitted that his first Barcelona silverware is ‘incredible’ and he is focused on winning more – something Romano believes is a ‘clear message’ about his future.

Arsenal may have to move on already, with Raphinha seemingly having little interest in a return to the Premier League right now.
