As Arsenal are set to lock horns against AC Milan in their upcoming friendly, here is the predicted lineup we expected to be fielded by Mikel Arteta on Tuesday.
Arsenal Predicted XI V AC Milan
After saving a staggering four penalties as Arsenal beat Lyon in their latest shootout victory, Karl Hein is likely to be the first name on the teamsheet against AC Milan.
As for Cedric, he could be set to keep his place in the side, as he is unlikely to feature majorly upon the return of club football.
At centre-back, Rob Holding and Gabriel are a safe bet to start once again, as Ben White has only recently returned to training with the Gunners.
As Oleksandr Zinchenko told Sky Sports he is yet to reach full fitness, Kieran Tierney looks dead set to be the side’s left-back.
In defensive midfield, it’s hard to look past Mohamed Elneny for the same reason as Cedric.
Considering Martin Odegaard did not play at the World Cup due to Norway’s failure to qualify, he will likely retain his place in the side.
Alongside the Arsenal captain could be Fabio Vieira, who could be drafted in midfield instead of Albert Sambi Lokonga. While the Portuguese international scored a belter from right wing against Lyon, Arteta could test him out in the middle of the park.
Marquinhos, who signed for the club for 3 million (GOAL) in the summer could start the clash against Stefano Pioli’s side on the right wing.

Up top, Mikel Arteta is unlikely to drop Eddie Nketiah, who is set to take over from the injured Gabriel Jesus who is set to be injured for a lengthy spell.
At left wing, Reiss Nelson could also keep his place in the side, aa Gabriel Martinelli only recently left Qatar following Brazil’s exit from the World Cup.
Arsenal predicted lineup vs AC Milan: Hein, Cedric, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney, Elneny, Odegaard, Vieira, Marquinhos, Nketiah, Nelson.
While only time will whether Arsenal will field the aforementioned predicted lineup against AC Milan, what one can guarantee is that the clash will be one to keep an eye out for.
