According to BBC Sport, the Reds had to pay the Gunners a transfer fee of £35 million in order to secure the services of the 24-year-old.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, who can operate as a winger or as a central midfielder, had been on the books of Arsenal since 2011 when he joined from Southampton for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £15m.
