Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is very popular in the Arsenal dressing room, according to journalist Miguel Delaney in his Reading the Game newsletter in The Independent (1:13pm, November 4, 2022).
The well-known and well-respected journalist that Aubameyang was well liked by the Arsenal players, who have been speaking about his BT Sport promo ahead of the London derby against Chelsea.
Graham Potter’s Chelsea and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will face each other at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday.
The match will see Aubameyang face his former club Arsenal for the first time since leaving them in the middle of last season.
The Gabonese striker had his contract with Arsenal terminated in January 2022, and he subsequently joined Barcelona on a free transfer.
Chelsea signed Aubameyang for £10 million plus Marcos Alonso in the summer transfer window (Sky Sports).

“The Gabonese striker is actually quite a popular figure in Mikel Arteta’s dressing room, but he just wasn’t a good captain. The ad has naturally been mentioned a lot.”

Aubameyang will surely want to score a goal or two against Arsenal and prove to manager Mikel Arteta that he was wrong to discard him in the middle of last season.
