The Gunners triumphed in their latest Champions League clash.
Arsenal got their first Champions League victory of the current campaign under their belts this week, defeating Swiss side FC Basel 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are enjoying a fine campaign both home and abroad and they followed up their 1-1 draw away to Paris Saint-Germain with a vital victory that puts them top of Group A with four matches remaining.
After the clash some of Arsenal’s players were quick to have their say on social media, with German international Mesut Ozil suggesting the final score was not indicative of their performance on the night.
The Gunners certainly could have added more goals to the two scored by the in-form Theo Walcott, but the victory was the vital thing and manager Arsene Wenger will no doubt be happy with how things played out.
Spanish right-back Hector Bellerin hailed the importance of maintaining their winning run while Alexis Sanchez, David Ospina and summer signing Shkodran Mustafi also had their say.
Next up for Arsenal is a Premier League clash with Burnley this weekend that they will be quietly confident of winning, although the Clarets will have other ideas.
