Tottenham Hotspur youngster Elliot Thorpe has quickly endeared himself to supporters of the North London club, as he took a dig at Arsenal on Instagram.

Thorpe posted a picture up of himself playing in Tottenham’s recent development squad game against Arsenal, to which Josh Dinzeyi responded.

But Thorpe swatted aside the Gunners youth prospect’s comment and said: “Arsenal players aren’t welcome around here.”

Thorpe knows Dinzeyi from his days at Tottenham, as the pair used to play together.

Dinzeyi actually left Spurs to join Arsenal, in a move which could prove controversial if he does go on to make the grade at the Emirates Stadium.

Thorpe, meanwhile, is a 20-year-old midfielder, who has been featuring for the development squad this season.

Thorpe is capped for Wales at youth level, and has made 11 appearances for Tottenham’s under-23 side in the league this term.
