Arsenal central defender Shkodran Mustafi has taken to Twitter to express his delight at returning to training.

As reported by The Mirror, Arsenal players are back in training, as the Premier League aims to resume the season in the coming weeks.

The report has claimed that the Gunners’ players were in group training at London Colney training ground on Friday.

Mustafi has taken to Twitter to express his happiness at being back in training with his teammates.

Uncertain future

Mustafi may be pleased at the prospect of the Premier League campaign getting back underway soon, but the future of the 28-year-old is wrapped up in uncertainty.

According to Todo Fichajes, AC Milan are interested in signing the former Sampdoria and Valencia star.

The report has claimed that the defender does not feature in Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s plan for next season, with the Gunners valuing him at €10 million (£8.95 million).

According to WhoScored, Mustafi has made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played seven times in the Europa League for Arsenal so far this season.
