Arsenal won 2-0 against Monaco but went out of the Champions League on away goals.
Arsenal produced a display they can be proud of in the second leg of their Champions League tie against Monaco.
However, it wasn’t enough to keep them in the competition as despite winning 2-0, they went out 3-3 over the two legs on away goals.
Here are our player ratings for the game last night.
Ospina – 6
Didn’t really have much to do, as he watched on with Arsenal building wave after wave of pressure.
Bellerin – 6
Gets forward well but looked vulnerable at times with players running at him.
Mertesacker – 7
Looked assured at the back and offered that key presence and experience, which any defence needs.
Koscielny – 7
Looked decent throughout and on another night may also have bagged himself a goal.
Monreal – 6
Got forward well throughout the game but his final ball has to be better.
Coquelin – 7
Got about the midfield well, threw in the challenges and did well not to get himself booked in the opening exchanges.
Cazorla – 7
A tidy performance and protected possession effectively as expected.
Sanchez – 6
Plenty of pace and energy all over the pitch. He’ll be disappointed with his final ball.
Ozil – 8
Whenever he picked the ball up, his first thought was to turn and to look for a way to be creative. He played well against an organised midfield and defence.
Welbeck – 7
Looked tired when he was subbed late on but up until that point he gave everything and never stopped running.
Giroud – 8
Superb finish. Will frustrate Arsenal fans how he can be so good in one game and terrible in another.
Subs
Ramsey – 6
Looked up for it when he came on and wasted no time having an impact over the game.
